So that's where you have been for the last year. Hanging out with the marketing babes. Cube's chip seems to be more flexible than Sony's. The current DVx chips seem better suited to the PC than a camera.

Next DVx family chip is due out in January.

Chromac, interesting posts. Welcome aboard. I can't help but think you have a Chromatics connection. Let's see . . . you have a Compaq w/DVD, you know that Compaq is not using Mpact's onboard RAMDAC, you know a LOT about RamBus, you're not a fan of SoftDVD, and . . . oh yeah, your name is Chromac! True?

Your posts on the other threads are a good read. Interesting insights. Keep 'em coming.

Chromac, may I be so bold as to ask another question?

How do you rate the offerings from all the single Chip encoder suppliers?

Cube
Sony
IBM
Innovacomedy
CRisky and any others you care to include

Who does LU?

Dave (bowing to your presence)
OK, OK, just sucking up...

Chromac,

...and while you're at it...what about some new DBS/Cable STB's?
Any playtime with those devices lately?
