In two interviews over the weekend, Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif joined other members of his government in declaring the attack a planned assault, possibly by an Al Qaeda-tied group."The idea that this criminal and cowardly act was a spontaneous protest that just spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous," Megarif told NPR. But U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, in a string of interviews, stood by the administration's position that the Libya attack was just part of the wave of protests over the anti-Islam video circulating on the Internet. Rice is as full of crap as are Hillary Clinton and Obama himself. Let's face a few facts, shall we? First, this "anti-Islam video" was out for a couple of months before anything happened. Second, if you think that is offensive to Islam you need to look up what Ann Barnhardt put up a year ago in which she laced a Koran with bacon bookmarks and then tore pages, after reading them, burning them in a glass crucible. Offensive? Uh huh. And protected First Amendment speech. So where were the riots and Embassy sackings? Absent, that's where. Strike One. Second, "mindless enraged mobs" don't magically appear in various places all over the Middle East (and elsewhere) armed with RPGs and heavy machine guns , along with considerable evidence of planning, logistics (50 pickups full of armed militia-men anyone?), command and control. That happens when a coordinated military action takes place. By definition a mob is, well, mindless. That's why they're so dangerous and why a riot -- a real one -- is something you never want to experience. Unlike a military operation that has an objective, a plan and the means to carry it out (like the assault on our base in southern Afghanistan over the weekend) a rioting mob loots, burns and assaults anything in its path. It is a mindless violent force that pays no attention to anything other than whether what is in front of it is a good outlet for its rage. It is utterly indiscriminate and exhibits no evidence of planning, command or control. Strike Two. Finally, the fact that this was coupled with an attack in Afghanistan and continues to this day with additional attacks, all exhibiting command, control and intelligence and you have all the hallmarks of a coordinated, pre-planned military operation that our Administration is now seeking to find a pretext for that doesn't involve admitting they screwed out.Three Strikes and you're out Obama. Romney got this one right, as have those of us who have called this incident a military terrorist incursion into United States territory, targeting both property and person. It was an invasion, albeit a limited one, and a military action. Add those two together and you get what this was: An Act of War undertaken as a direct and proximate result of this Administration's willful and intentional malfeasance and misfeasance in foreign affairs.Obama, you did build this and now you own it.
