A few comments about Jeffrey McDonald.

I had been away from Ft Bragg since mid 67, including OCS and back to back assignments to Nam and Berlin. I was overseas when the murders occurred.

We were informed back then that McDonald went to jump school but did not attend, what was then called the the Special Forces Training Group, now known as the Special Forces "Q" Course.

SF command policy in the 60s allowed certain support personnel who were jump qualified to wear the Green Beret while assigned to an SF unit. That policy was changed.

I did not know McDonald. If Green Beret Doctor means he was SF qualified, it is not true in my mind. He is not a Green Beret Doctor. He was a Dr. who treated Green Berets.
