To most AAPL adherents the stock looks cheap; on a multiple basis it is indeed cheaper than many other stocks that produce high tech widgets.

Even so it is my unscientific hunch that it is time to sell because of the hype around the company and because there is very difficult to add substantial improvements on their flagship products compared to the products already in the market.

IMHO the sales will ebb out or even decline, huge amounts of money will be spend on new developments of which many will be a dud and drain the company cash pile. To prop the stock the company will start engaging in buying their own stock via writing puts.

In its great days of Y2K, both INTC and CISCO or even SUNW engaged in same or similar tactics check the pricing of those companies now compared to Y2K.

Bottom line, sell AAPL and run with the profits. NO, No short yet.
