Your life must revolve around the DC beltway in some big government utopia or you've got some safe high power career unaffected by the ups and downs the past decade. In my world we cleared out, deleveraged, took out the weak in rapid fashion the past five years. Yeah I guess a few still live in their houses for free which would be your 'socialism' but most with skin in the game during the gogo years wished they had cashed in their chips before the collapse..

I wonder if you have any thoughts on the Libyan attack. Was it a planned one is what I wonder. Seeing the level of destruction at the consulate and reading that about 50 people descended all of a sudden armed with artillery type weaponry makes me to conclude that it was a pre planned attack. Does it mean we should fortify all our consulates worldwide? Costs a lot of money to do so.
