Actually, Maurice they are alligators here and I wouldn't guaranty you could find any in this lake or any other lake around here, they prefer the Everglades.

The Dept of Homeland Security as immigration is now referred to, has gotten a little more friendly in the last few years and as a New Zealander I think you can get an automatic 3 or 6 months stay, certainly long enough for your winter. You will find Florida in the winter months, a marvelous place, with great weather, beautiful beaches, and lots of fun things to do.

Don't know you will ever convince the USA government on your Citizen for sale idea but in a few years who knows, they certainly will need the money and it would help the housing too.
