Romney is a middle right republican. Not far right. And he's basically an honest and good person who has good values and integrity. To say otherwise is disingenuous
Of course it is disingenuous. that's exactly why the left continues to say it! They're all about disingenuous.

" And yet, we ended up with Romney, who is far from a far right ideological hero."

Only because all the other clowns in the clown car eventually disqualified themselves, one after the other. Romney was the last loser standing. NONE of you wanted him, but, like McCain, he was who you ended up with.

<<<<<And yet, we ended up with Romney, who is far from a far right ideological hero>>>

I actually agree with you here. BUT, he tries so hard to appease that far right ideological group that he sounds disingenuous and pitifully trite. Trying to be something he is not then leads to comments such as the 47% comment that was meant as fodder for the audience. A phony if you will. He ends up seemingly to stand for nothing. I'm not afraid of him becoming president - but I suspect the hard right will be more than a little disappointed.
