I actually agree with you here. BUT, he tries so hard to appease that far right ideological group that he sounds disingenuous and pitifully trite. Trying to be something he is not then leads to comments such as the 47% comment that was meant as fodder for the audience. A phony if you will. He ends up seemingly to stand for nothing. I'm not afraid of him becoming president - but I suspect the hard right will be more than a little disappointed.

I believe that your comments about Romney being a phony are a bit laughable when you compare to Obama. Obama's words not only proved him to be a phony, his actions have been an insult to his supporters. He's done more to support crony corporatism than any other president. With almost universally abysmal results. Obama ran on his charisma. He ran a campaign of emotional appeal and the left gobbled it up. Hope and change? My God, the man is a snake oil salesman.

do you really care if the far right is disappointed? Isn't that a good thing? It is in my book.

I do think that the 47% comment should have been thought out a little better. Really it should be about 37% who are hopelessly addicted to the government tit. The other 10% of unwavering Obama/democrat supporters are misguided fools who think that paying off the great unwashed with other people's money will save them when civilization implodes.
