They riot, burn, and kill? Like those guys who empty the Glocks into unarmed school mates?

or the ones who empty shot guns into movie goers?

They don't have military-industrial complexes with half a trillion budgets either.

It seems like some people feel disproportionately offended. They riot, burn, and kill over matters that are trivial by someone else's standards.

If something was to happen to the Earth as a result of man's technological prowess (e.g., say that fracking over long time periods has very serious consequences that we cannot avoid --- I say, as an example) it would be hard to argue at the time that the Earth feels disproportionately offended.

Cause and effect may be clear in relatively simple situations, such as in problems of engineering. In society, cause and effect over long time periods is difficult to grasp because much is forgotten and displaced by what is new, but the DNA still carries the pain somehow. That pain wakes up a monster that is asleep and needs to eat, every so often ....... a monster that would not exist but for another monster that gave birth to it. Where is the cause for the monster? It is not as simple as the cause you see.

So we exist in a cycle that feeds these beasts, proudly beating our chests with every new technology ............

we are Little Jack Horner saying ........

"What a good boy am I!"
