I believe that the chain of custody on the samples presently being analyzed at Ledoux was not only documented but videotaped at every step of the way to avoid any salting claims that might be raised in the future. I doubt COC will be an issue this time around.

James:

I am glad to respond to your question. First, I might indicate that Chain of Custody in the mining industry carries far and away more credibility than non Chain of Custody. There has discussion on the thread about COC in the past, but for all who may have been unable to go back among the many posts, here is what happened:

Behre-Dolbear drilled the five holes without any Naxos personnel being present. Videotaping of the drilling was done. The samples were carried under jurisdiction of Behre-Dolbear personnel to their facility. Sealed containers were sent to Ledoux where Ledoux inspected the seals and then signed for the sealed containers. If the seals would have been broken, then the COC would have been broken. To protect COC, Behre-Dolbear would not allow any Naxos personnel to be present at the Franklin Lake drilling or at their facility. Naxos had no desire to be present, I might add.

COC is used to prove that no tampering has occurred. Those parties that carry out the COC go to great lengths to protect their credibility by taking extensive precautions. Naxos believes and welcomes these stringent precautions to add evidence to the theory of the Franklin Lake material.

Regards,

Kim W.
