Absolutely shocking!

But then, isn't every investor in this great country trying to do exactly the same thing... like buying APPL at $100 and seeing the potential realized.

I guess anyone who tries to buy low and sell high over a 5 to 8 year period is a disgrace in the current in political environment.

Isn't Romney investing in troubled companies,
turning them around whenever possible, and
then selling his stake at a profit?

Isn't that what the investors here at SI hope to
do daily? Buy a company low, and hold for a
price increase, then sell high and make $$.

What's YOUR problem with Capitalism?

"identify potential and hidden value in companies, buy significant stakes in these businesses, and then 'harvest them at a significant profit' within five to eight years."

Good God! Did Romney admit to being a successful businessman? The horror! Let's put him in chains immediately. By God, no one in this country should be allowed to make money working hard, being savvy, and making businesses more profitable and efficient. That's just plain un-American. I know many Americans now just want a cell phone free from Obama. That's the American way...bitch about how tough life is and put your hand out for free shit.

There is nothing bad in what Romney and Bain capital did. He made some informed decisions, kind of gambled based on those informed decisions. He got lucky in some and lost money in others. He calls that success, great.

But it is a scoffing matter to claim that because he was successful in Bain, he will be successful as President. He didn't do these "leveraged buyouts" to create jobs. He did it solely for profits. Creating or closing down resulting in job loss was a enabler of his profits.

He didn't create jobs, he created profits. To him profits were primary, job creation was secondary. As President that gets reversed. To a President job creation is primary and profits are secondary.

I have said several times in the past that Michael Jordan proves what we are saying. He thought that because he was successful in basketball, he thought that he would be successful in "another sport" called baseball. I rest my case.

I have followed the exchanges that this post of yours gave rise to. Ii wonder how thick some of these folks are to not get this. They come back with the same right wing carp that people like you and me are jealous of Romney's success. That is a bunch of bull. You and I are successful too and we have no reason to feel jealous of someone else's success. In fact it gives us the moral courage to denounce being rich in a filthy way.
