RW, we already have Wharf Rat on this thread saying he wants a 90% top tax rate on all income above $100M. He's even claiming that our national highway system, among other public works projects at the time, was financed by a 90% tax rate.

France already passed or is about to pass a 75% top tax rate on all income over one million Euros. This is supposedly to balance their budget, but no one really thinks it will bring in any additional revenue. After all, who the heck is going to pay themselves that much when such a punitive tax is applied?

At what point does a high income tax become less about revenue and more about punishment? Do you even get that concept?
