Many Muslims believe "Once a Muslim, always a Muslim." And they extend this to include that if one of your parents is a Muslim, then you are a Muslim always. Being the youngest widely followed religion, they believed this so as not to lose converts. The Bahai faith, an offshoot of the Islamic faith, is considered a Islamic faith for that reason and in countries where non Muslims are not given equal rights, the Baha'is receive much better treatment. Anyway, the Bahai issue aside, since I am not very sure about them, the Muslims consider Obama a Muslim. I find it amusing that those Christian fanatics who advocate a anti-Muslim stance agree with the Muslims on this issue. A matter of convenience, I guess.
