Thanks, I couldn't figure it out. I can watch the e-minis real time on thinkorswim and it shows all the data while the U.S. markets are open, but the SPZ2 is a big problem. It should show all the trading 24/7 but it doesn't. It leaves out all the trading between 9 am and 4 pm when the U.S. markets are open. I'm going to have to ask them why the F they don't show it and I think they are going to say because I don't have futures trading enabled. I think that's why I can't see the 1435 price. Here is the chart I get, it's intraday, 30 minute bars but each day is missing 9 am to 4 pm. I don't have futures trading enabled because they will take away me using all their other trading platforms which I need and force me to use ThinkorSwim only. I can't use ThinkorSwim at work because it involves loading software which is Verboten on all Navy and Marine Corps computers. Because of this problem, I have been very confused about what the VP is on the eminis. I thought the eminis and the SPZ2 had the same prices, but they don't. I can't use your model in real time because of this. You won't be able to read the chart of the SPZ2 below either, thought it would be readable

I can watch the Emini /ES or /ESZ2 and get the U.S. intraday data between 9 and 4. Weird how I can get the e-mini but not the /SPZ2. Is the /ES just the combining all the lead month contract price data into a single chart? The prices are the exact same between the /ES and the /ESZ2. Shouldn't the /SPZ2 have the exact same prices within a penny or less?

I setup a second account with Ameritrade just for futures to avoid the problem of the software and upgrading my stock account. The a-holes turned me down for the options part which is the only part I wanted! So now I have a useless futures trading account. I said I had little to no futures experience. I'm going to have to redo the request. There isn't any difference in indicators, tech analysis and timing v. stocks, just margin. I don't even want to trade futures on margin. I want the ability to only trade options on futures, cash only. Do brokers allow trading options on futures with margin? I don't want that. I've noticed already in trading the SPY that often the best trading opportunities occur outside of trading times on the SPY and would like to be able to go position neutral outside regular hours using the second account and in the future not trade the SPY at all, just options on the emini and then that solves all my problems including work conflicts, software problems and the rest. With options on the SPY, they only trade between 9:30 and 4. Very frustrating when I know I could go position neutral for a great gain but have to wait for 9:30 to roll around and then deal with wide spreads and phony prices for the first 5 minutes.

GZ I'm still confused. I even used your chart source below. I think your prices are right but the 10/4 date is wrong. I wouldn't even be checking this if I wasn't trying to use your VPs. I did just verify that the Emini Prices and SP500 futures are the same prices. I thought maybe they weren't the same because of your listed buy on 10/4 being outside the range of the day's prices on the Emini so I checked with the SPZ12 and got the same answer.
