"The simple, obvious truth is that the people who watched the debate thought Romney was more credible than Obama."

Umm, there is no real proof they found him more credible. And, in the wake of the fact checking, it seems like his support is subsiding.

"The reality is that he was, for the first time, in an unprotected environment."

Nonsense. This is what I mean when I say that it is dangerous to run against the mythical Obama. He has been in an unprotected environment on many occasions and did just fine.

But, we will see. Romney is his own worst enemy. I don't think he can get around that.

Why did this, the most intelligent man ever to hold the presidency, world-class orator, purveyor of flowery rhetoric, why did he fail?

Add 'best ever war strategic' and replace 'presidency' by 'reichkanzler'... no, let's not go there.

But that Austrian really looked quite good until say 1936 or so.

His voters didn't stop him in time.
