Anyone here participating in the maxim preferred share offering? I assume most of us have been contacted or are participating?
What are your thoughts? I didn't have the spare cash to participate, but I wish I had. I have friends participating so am up on the interaction with Maxim reps. As a non participant but long time shareholder, the dilution bothers me. Having said that, perhaps I will look back at some point and see that it was a positive for long term shareholders. I am hoping so.

Shorting at this point could be very dangerous. I was looking at selling my common with the assumption that the preferred deal will go through under decent terms, and buying in to it. However, to assume the "IPO" will occur, and feel safe enough to sell one's shares, it might be tough to swallow if the shares run in the 'in between' time. Especially true if you have owned your common as long as most of "us". (I know, that sounds emotional, but there is also the tax implications of a long term hold).
I view the shorting of the common to be equal to my selling, and trying to replenish the shares through the preferred. Could work, but ?
