Niels, sure that's not 5-8 dollars...not sure that is a bargain at this point either. Forget the rumours...that's all it's been.

Niels, That rumor would fit with the stock action today!!! Manipulators may have picked it up, this is their last chance @ Panic, as the market is up nicely, so they manipulate, now buyout rumors???

That wouldn't surprise me at all but it's worth twice that.
The problem here is that Wall Street hasn't gotten curious
and asked a couple of the right questions of the right people.

Re: Rumors

You'll undoubtedly hear lots of rumors over the next month. We're in tax loss selling season and you can expect this to continue until 12/31 barring a lifting of the "cone of silence" we've come to expect from the company. Personally, I'll be watching and buying as this month progresses. I already have an ample position but it is hard to resist these giveaway levels. For reference, note that the all time low for RACE was 3 1/2 hit in 1994. We are now back to levels prior to the first mention of BT in July 1996. Unless you believe that RACE will go bankrupt, these levels represent compelling value.

Neils: Now that you've brought it up, I too had heard a buy-out rumor of Data Race at $18/share. Couldn't confirm it, so I didn't mention it.
As I understood it, the potential acquiring company believes that they could get a jump way down the R & D road by acquiring RACE, mainly for the technology but also for the manufacturing expertise.

Apparently there is a recognition that this is about to explode, and with the stock price so low they could pick it up for a terrific price, at the perfect time just before the sales begins to emerge.
