Why, if you are not a pacifist about these things, didn't you get into a catfight with the poster(s) who linked her obit?

Did you ask the poster to ask SI to withdraw the links? Such a request is generally more effective than a third party's.

The thing I am seeing is a record of no catfight when more substantial personal info is disclosed but a huge conflagration when someting innocuous appears. An indecorous and boorish catfight in which the privacy concerns you claim are nowhere to be seen.

You'll pardon my skepticism.

No one on this thread wishes ill to "Rambi". Not two years ago and not now. So she didn't and doesn't need a rude protector calling people obscene names using 'defense of a best friend' as an excuse. In both instances you reacted to posts by a person YOU dislike that Rambi had friended on FB. That's just a fact.
