For what it's worth, a PaineWebber analyst said earlier on CNBC that the near-term outlook for the big oils is not good. His words, "a slow bleed" will start to occur..and price drops won't continue to be drastic..but after many 1/4 pt. declines, the investors will look back and wonder what's happened. Now, if the BIG BOYS [Exon,Chevron,BP,etc.] start to go into this pattern..it definitely could make a difference, if not only to the driller's bottom lines..public perception and the resulting people panic that seems [duh] to be happenning. I sure hate to say it..but that SCname was right. At least he has had the common courtesy to not gloat in any recent posts...Good luck to all, and where's Thean??
