This rise in price of COMS form 29 to 38 looks very similar to the rise in ASND from 31 to 38 just to fall to 25 today.
If COMS makes the number stock will rise. If they even miss by a penny then short term jitters will drag the price back to 28.
Any way I do not think there is more upside potential to this stock till earnings give the direction.
One analyst cut the estimate to .09.
I guess he has some data for this drastic cut. Till COMS comes and clarifies what exactly is happening (after or before earnings), this is a risky invesment. It is never long term attractive as a 30% decline is very much possible short term.
I would mind to buy it at 50 if they the stock is up on a positive note, rather than a sympathy rally.

Re: advent of high-speed cable modems

Isn't ADSL a more economical alternative? Using the existing copper lines and delivering much improved speed? GTE goes commercial now in CA with ADSL

GFR Fan,
how about COMS entering the ADSL modem market also?
