RE:The attack was an act of war, perpetrated by a large group of well organized and well armed fighters.

Your questions provoke more questions. Who is the best organization determined to defeat the U.S.? Who has the wherewithal, supplies and capabilities to carry off such an incursion? Iran? Look at all the terrorists organizations that they fund, just for starters: Hamas and Hezbollah.

RE: Why did Obama and "his" Administration try to explain it away as if this was merely part of the wave of protests against a lousy YouTube video?

Having to admit that Al Qaeda still exists in spite of his most heroic effort and success at killing its head, bin Laden, would mean having to admit defeat - or at the least - they weren't successful at all in stopping a terrorist attack.

So, it would be natural to deflect and misdirect attention away from the actual truth. And, so far, Obama is being successful in covering up this scandal. I asked casual friends what they think about the Libyan situation and they admit they don't know what's happening over there. And they don't care to know about it.

RE: But who made the decision to conduct a coverup?

My guess is Axelrod and Jarrett. Deflect attention away from what was actually happening and get the press to cooperate - at least until after the election - and handle it then.

Probably only Fox will mention Libya on the Sunday shows. The rest will concentrate on the campaign and the hurricane.

That's plenty bad. But who made the decision to conduct a coverup? The attack was an act of war, perpetrated by a large group of well organized and well armed fighters. Why did Obama and "his" Administration try to explain it away as if this was merely part of the wave of protests against a lousy YouTube video?
That's easy.

Valerie Jarrett's fingerprints are all over this.
