Same as when Katrina hit....New Orleans got all the attention because of...well...you know......but the worst storm surge hit Mississippi. I knew many folks that spent weeks there helping saw trees and rebuild and do the things that needed to be done. Money was sent by private funds, (mostly from donations of churches) and IT GOT DONE. The Governor of Mississippi was right on top of things.

The crappy fema house trailers sent to NewOrleans (brand new) were sold off a year 1/2 later for as little as 500 a pop. they were torn up, filthy, beat to pieces. Most of them ended up in deer camps.
