Falling Down ... one of the most twisted movies I've had the displeasure of seeing twisted only in the sense of Bill Foster's response to some very real circumstances that ordinary people routinely shrug off every day.. I loved the Whammy Burger scene and can relate an experience. I occasionally go to a semi local McDonalds late at night because its the only place open. I noticed twice in a row that they said they were sold out of hot apple pies. When it happened the third time, I demanded to know what was going on. Finally the night manager tells me sorry but they don't put any more pies in the automated pie oven after 10PM because they wind up throwing them away when they close at 12AM. So I pull the "Did you ever hear of the saying that the customer is always right" line from Falling Down. He said yes but all he could do would be to put in 2 pies now and I'd have to wait about 15 minutes. So I told him that if I were Bill Foster, I'd pull out an Uzi and shoot up the place. He didn't know what I was talking about. I said forget it and I didn't want to wait and left with the rest of my order. So the next day I file a complaint on McDs web site and then get a call from some regional mgr. several days later. I was assured that the store mgr. will be contacted and that it will NEVER happen again. Sure enough, the next time I go there about 11:15PM, they have two hot pies ready to go. I get home.....open the bag and one of them turns out to be a cherry.........so I go back and shoot up the place ...........................................................................................only kidding......I just didn't sleep that night......hardly at all the next.......but I got over it..........unlike Bill Foster. youtube.com
