Between Boehner, Cantor and Ryan, each with their own ambitions and interests to defend, the House Republican caucus should be a real exercise in herding cats at best, and outright chaos at worst. That could be an opportunity if we are approaching a fiscal cliff and Obama puts an offer on the table that would get all the Dems and just enough Reps to pass, because he could get it through the Senate on budget reconciliation rules.

Could get very interesting.

Ryan was a significant component in Romney's loss. He isn't going to succeed in 2016 anymore than Palin could have this time around. At some point the Rep primary winner has got to figure out that picking a running mate who is nutty is not a good strategy. Romney had McCain's history to look out, why couldn't he figure something out?
