here folks from subcontinent are called South Asian
also big difference between them and South Asians coming from Guyana who really refer to themselves as Guyanese ,mostly English first name,
and definitely not South Asian.. also South Asians with Portuguese names are also quite different some from Guyana some from sub continent typically Catholic .. have English first name
here asian usually means Chinese Japanese Filipino Indonesian Vietnamese etc
