Sorry to hear that, SeaOtter....We'll just have to see where you all are in a few years, and how free your kids will be in this 'brave new world' you and Obama have created. Glad you won the dot-com lottery so you could give this man, that couldn't even produce a budget for 4 years, lots of money ...So many things, and none of them worked out.... TONS of money on Green jobs....how many are left. It's easy to spend other peoples money and the Dems have been great at this.....So many people out of jobs, and no new jobs able to be created because taxes and regulations are so high. Food stamps to more than ever before in history. Larger unemployment than ever in history. Benghazi murders. And nothing being said. And it makes one wonder: how many posters on this board have decided to forgo medicare, or veteran benefits (the military is the most socialist institution of our country), or social security? Last time I checked, the government mandates that we all partake in Social Security and Medicare through their associated taxes. I doubt anyone here would choose to opt out after being forced to pay into both programs during the course of our working years.

Your kids are totally screwed, because of your vote for authoritarian and bankrupt government. California and Greece are what your kids have to look forward to. It is bleak. They will have less freedom and a MUCH lower standard of living. If they are weak little sissies like you, they may even become prey for those seeking what they need to live. Knowing the past isn't enough; what happened and why has to be understood. The sources from which most of us draw our information insure the majority have no exposure to economic analysis. That leaves them vulnerable – again -- to aspirational rhetoric, particularly when charismatically presented. "We're rich so can do this and that" appeals to moral intuitions. The grinding processes that made us rich are not understood. Good people have again ratified policies that displace an obviously superior social organization and continued progress toward what we all want. You may be of an age that lived through the collapse of the Soviet Union. Because you’ve had no exposure to analysis of the interferences with rational economic calculation you can’t recognize the parallels with incremental adoption of the same distortions. The blue social model is collapsing all over the world in proportion to the age and intensity of its adoption. Look at those states and cities following the Greek path to collapse. But you can’t. You and many others, bright and otherwise, are infected with a quasi-religious fervor that precludes examination of any evidence interfering with your horribly flawed vision. You’re one of many cheering a reversion to a lower form of social order. Further America decline is baked in the cake, with the load still falling first and hardest on those at the trailing edge of the bell curve. Only the speed and intensity is open to some question. Given our miserable fourth estate it’ll be only on the right wing fringe where the causes are understood. My sorrow at Obama's reelection pales compared to my horror at the crime perpetrated on the young.
