>> Yeah...the fact that the VP nominee co-sponsored legislation and that the party platform both criminalize abortion even in the case of rape? These are just coincidences, right inode?

You're radically changing the topic from rape to abortion.

Many conservatives believe abortion is killing, and it would inconsistent for them believe that killing is more acceptable in cases of rape than it is in consensual sex.

I can accept that point of view, even as I disagree with it.

Whoopi Goldberg, on the other hand, considers the rape of a child as not being "rape rape". I didn't hear any public outcry about THAT.

That is a far more hypocritical stance than any Ryan or Romney have taken.

Petraeus? I have yet to figure out why some people are so in love with this guy. I just read his wiki profile and the guy didn't see combat until 2003. There is no question he is smart......and he's an R so I understand why the Rs love him.......but he was a big fail in Afghanistan, he embarrassed the president by disclosing info he shouldn't have, and now the guy was having an affair that could have hurt this country's intel security. What is there about this guy that is so special. Do you know?
