Ann, if the Republican controlled House would immediately support Rubio's version of the Dream Act, it would attract a lot of Hispanic support.

The Republicans can win an election if they stop putting abortion in the platform. Would the greeks have cared if the Persians aborted their children? I certainly doubt it. If you are against abortion, your family is likely against it as well. The republicans have to learn that they cannot force morality on anyone. It simply doesn't work. Much the same with same sex marriage. Why fight it, they will be living together anyway.

Younger voters have all grown up with these values fed to them as youngsters in school. Most of them see nothing wrong with it.

The platform should be a more libertarian platform with national security and fiscal responsibility at the head.
