I understand that logic but the reverse of that would hold that jobs would be created by cutting taxes. Some of these tax cuts ready to expire have been in effect over a decade and still haven't created the plethora of jobs that were promised at the time of the cut.

yes that is why the economy was in such rough shape under Eishenhower...errr....under Clinton....
