Woody,
Fraud against Seniors is the artificially low interest rates.
Many of my retired friends lost hundreds of dollars in income
every month on their CDs, due to these ZERO interest rates.
Some now struggle to eat, pay utilities, etc. It was difficult
before, but the last few years have been horrible. Next year
taxes on interest and dividends will increase, too.
That was the Seniors choice to enroll in artificially low interest CD rates. Other investors took the risk at the time of low stock market to buy stocks. They, then, made tremendous amounts of money.

Yes, it required a large amount of research and an understanding of the stock market. The sad state, when the economy totally returns we will probably have inflation. The result will be those locked in to low CD rates will be suffering not only from the low rates but a potential inflation rate when they purchase good and/or services.

Am fighting the powers here in Arkansas. A real mess here and next door in Tennessee.

Arkansas went Repub. for the first time in 136 years in legislature. Good news. Maybe
the state locals can stem the tide.
