>>>Is there an index that follows the same way that the big boys do, that isnt as followed? I like this possibility, but I would like to get into an index that moves point for point without 1 billion others doing it too.. I bet there isnt but wanted to throw the bone out there for discussion..<<<

You're wrong, which is good news for you! <<<g>>>
Check out the Philadelphia USTOP 100 Sector Index.
Cap-weighted, like the S&P 500, and has the 100 most highly capitalized companies in the United States. I compared it historically to the SPX & OEX and it is very similar in movement. You wouldn't believe what the intraday graphical looks like when you overlay them!

But here's the best part---thewre hasn't been ONE SINGLE option traded today! This is right up your alley.

The index symbol is tpx I'm pretty sure...might be different on other systemss (it's actually PTPX on the Bloomberg).

If this isn't what you're looking for, let me know....I might be able to find another.

Kevin

Electric~Kevin's TPX suggestion is excellent as usual, but wouldn't the DJX also seem appropriate?

DJX reflects the present mkt. volatility better than SPX, and is more lightly traded. I've had modest success with it last three months, and use it primarily to hedge general market with puts.
