I keep hearing the 425 number from technicians.

We'll see. I doubt we get there without some sort of negative economic event, but I've been wrong many times before. The problem for Apple is that there arent any catalysts in the near-term to arrest the slide. It isnt like Apple ever preannounces earnings so selling seems like a pretty safe play until January.

One nice catalyst would be getting approved by China Mobile, but I doubt that happens in the short-term.

Maybe just a lot of big funds are dumping to lock in profits for end of year reporting? (running for the exits --someone else posted that AAPL represents the preponderance of their gains this year). But come next year, where are they going to put their money? How could they avoid AAPL at these prices & current fundamentals. I'm still in for the long haul.
