What we have here in our admin is very smart people working very hard to do good who are all working off false premises. The harder they try, the worse the outcome. Both foreign and domestic. When it doesn't work out they blame anybody but themselves.

bill, you need to get off the 'very smart/false premise' meme....

these people are not 'very smart'

it's like saying islam is the religion of peace...oxymoron

they are ideological lemmings (false premise) and the peter principle is firmly in play with gov't bureaucracy, marching morons rising to their level of incompetence because they live in the same ideological world

anyone who is so ideologically driven that despite bad outcomes over and over, they repeat (and worse double down), einstein says this is the definition of insanity, far from 'very smart'

Very well put.

I wanted to mention that while I personally was more tolerant of the Wayne guy than you, I was less so of B-something or other initials, he'd made my ignore from some other encounter. Great thread, BTW, in case I hadn't mentioned in a while. Most of my friends post here.

They themselves would disagree. Good and evil are religious terms to them, which is at odds with their definition of intelligence.

More accurately, they are committed to an agenda that they deem proper and they are pursuing it in a typically irrational bureaucratic manner.
