it's like saying islam is the religion of peace...oxymoron No, it's not. But it's culture makes people stupid. Get them into a Western Culture, and most do better than average. A liberal culture makes you do wrong things over and over.

I am amazed that the press and the Administration are not making more of a fuss over Morsi's assumption of dictatorial powers. This is an enormous issue, but so far ignored. It will be a cold day in hell before the lefties at SI recognize that Morsi's power grab is a prelude to even more corruption, huge human rights abuses, etc. They seem content to laud the 'potential' of the O! - Morsi connection. Perhaps O!'s 'charm' will result in a kinder, gentler dictatorship. Those folks never cease to amaze. It seems increasingly likely that Egypt will return to its time-worn pattern of democratic promises followed by dictatorship. The distinction is that the Brotherhood is no friend of the USA. The other dictators - Sadat, Mubarak - were happy to take our money. The non-aligned Nasser aligned himself with the USSR and got the Aswan Dam and weapons in return, a good bargain, but not one which ended well. Egypt is the ME's Argentina.
