Emigrating from the country which has generated more wealth than any nation in history is fraught with risk. One thing that is important in any decision is what are the future prospects. One cannot judge future prospects entirely from historical returns. Invest in a mutual fund based on past results and expecting similar results in the future is a fools errand. Your cousins ancestors misjudged the future prospects of two or more countries. America used to be where people came to live the American dream of hard work and success. Now leftists are trying to flood the country with immigrants who dreams of sitting on the couch and having Amazon Dot Com deliver their free stuff paid for by others' hard work.
