Apparently the US Gov't is only $40 Billion, or a few weeks of deficit spending, away from the Gov't debt limits.

So while CNBS is counting down the days until the fiscal cliff occurs, it's likely that we'll reach that debt cap ($16.395 trillion) a bit earlier than they are projecting. At that point, the Treasury will apparently have to start raiding the Federal pension plans.
