Dr Achim Brauer, of the GFZ (GeoForschungs Zentrum) German Research Centre for Geosciences at Potsdam, and colleagues analysed annual layers of sediments, called “varves”, from a German crater lake.

Each varve records a single year, allowing annual climate records from the region to be reconstructed.

The cause of rapid onset glaciation is not well understood, however, it can be stated with absolute certainty that it was not anthropogenic, and the next glaciation will not be either.

When the cooling trend underway establishes itself with a vengeance, I suppose you and other warmists will suddenly have all kinds of proposals to reverse the cooling:-)
