Extreme. How about correct! Krugman and Stiglitz are the first and forth most referenced economists in the world. Both nobel prize winners.

Now if I was president and came in facing a great depression I would hire the best economists in the world, not second raters like Summers and Geithner. FDR hired Keynes and after he finally figured out (sort of) what he was talking about, followed him.

And I think Obama would have gotten the stimulus package and the dems also would not have lost the house in 2010. I'll bet I have drafted and gotten more legislation through a legislative body than you have. I know exactly how it works. And over the last four years the 1% have completely recovered but the poor and middle class are still laboring. Half the country is still living near the poverty level while the fat cats are partying.

Stiglitz and Krugman would never have let that happen. And the banks must be broken up.

What economist do you follow that have stiglitz and Krugman's credentials! And Stiglitz and Krugman are both on the same page.

Are both wrong??

<<And so why didn't Obama appoint him and listen to him? Because Krugman is completely tone death to the world of politics and is far too extreme to be considered. If Krugman had been appointed and had any voice, there wouldn't have been any stimulus package because he would never have gotten anything passed. Koan, for you to suggest otherwise is pure baloney. .........And say he had appointed Krugman - which he absolutely never would because Krugmans thinking is too extreme - and by some miracle his ideas had been enacted, the loud cries about our debt that you hear now would likely been louder and maybe Obama wouldn't have been reelected
