I've used the Zip drive for over a year...and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. I save my personal data files...and don't worry about applications themselves. With Norton Utilities and Iomega teaming up to create "rescue disks" it seems like an even better proposition.

As far as the cost $149 for the drive, and $10 a disk is not too much considering I would be dead in the water if I lost that data. Zip is good technology. I'm not long Iomega.

Tom

OT - I'm shopping a new computer for home, last got a 286 I haven't bothered to toss yet. As a new purchaser, the Zip looks attractrive bundled with everything else. The purpose, as I see it, is to back up key files and/or directories. Applications should have their own CD-ROMS. A data point, I could care less about the fortunes of the Iomegas of the world.

Dan, I share a lot of your thoughts on IOM but am not shorting because of the upcoming split. I think we can short in the 20's after the split.

I intend to short Dell before earnings. Anyone have ideas as to the target entry point?
