Cars are registered, inspected, driver's need licenses, and must have driver's training....and there are laws controlling their use.

>> There is a correlation whether you want to see it or not.

Obviously, you don't know what the word "correlation" means.

I don't know how to get the point across to you. When LA had its riots in the 90s, every nite for the next year, I went to bed hearing guns fired all over the city. It took a concerted effort....a community effort..........to get those guns silenced..........on the part of the police, the mayor, the city council and Angelenos. That's what needs to be done on a national scale. That's what we will do.

I know the right will fight these efforts like they fight any progress in this country. You will not compromise........you will make no serious effort to understand the problem because you don't want to understand.......instead you want what you want............I understand. And I have accepted that that is the part of the price fighting for progress in this country.

>> Bullets kill. They come from guns. That's all the evidence a normal person would need.

Cars kill, too.

And we have a ton of laws to minimize the killing by cars..........and yet, any loser or nutcase can go to a gun show and buy an assault weapon. Thanks for setting up a brilliant analogy and making my case.
