"I'd agree that you couldn't effectively train most teachers or administrators to the level of law enforcement officers."

Back when I was in school, many of my teachers were vets of either WW2 or Korea. My English teacher talked about trying to shoot the tails off of some species of long tailed rodents in his dugout. Those guys might have been OK with having guns when there are bullets flying around, but today, not too many teachers have had military experience. Could be more collateral damage than the shooter causes.

Schools still have fire axes?

Guns should be kept out of schools. That is a crazy idea. And we need strict gun control including outlawing guns that are not for hunting or simple self defense (with extensive background checks) and Obama needs to tell his AG to start prosecuting those who break the law. Like everyone else who breaks the law. And name a Director of that agency.

This entire gun debate is stone old nuts. The NRA is nuts and should have no voice in the debate. LImit the guns and gun deaths will fall. It is fantasy to think otherwise.

When have we ever needed guns per the second amendment.

Like fucking never! And we will never need them in that situation..
