Even if the Federal government was shut down as a whole, including defunding the military, it's still impossible to balance the budget without cutting entitlements.

Boehner's plan B is/was Pelosi and Schumer's plan A, and they never thought of passing it when they controlled all 3 branches. Whassup with that? If Bush tax cuts are so bad, they (Pelosi and Reid) could have dumped them as easy as passing Obamacare. If tax cuts are so bad, why is Obama praying for the cliff so that he can mount his white horse and suggest tax cuts next year?
