yes, Panetta and most of the military industrial complex are in as much denial as the rest of our gov't and the Democrats on this thread. Everyone thinks we can all have a free ride forever. No one stops to think whether any of this borrowing and printing is sustainable and what the consequences will be. RW gets excited over a 3.1% GDP, when 90% of it was from borrowed money to spend. That's like me claiming I am doing great because I have 4 Ferraris in my garage. Never mind that I spend all my retirement, my kids college money, and borrowed against every last penny of equity in my house. This kind of thinking is destroying this country, and yet, RW and folks like him call it a recovery and prosperity. Spending money we don't have and printing the money to do it is not prosperity and even if it makes our spending metrics look larger, that has nothing to do with real wealth or real, organic recoveries. The level of ignorance and wishful thinking in this country has reached epic proportions. It only increases my certainty that it will all end badly sooner than we think. When this level of delusion is so rampant, the end game must be close.
