Sell the news is often a very good bet, as we saw with the RIMM report. There is a possibility that we can see the same thing in the short run with a FC deal.

I would keep these types of trades very small, as the uncertainty factors make these greater gambles. I prefer trades that take advantage of the moves when the entire market has turned, up or down. The reliability factor makes these types of trades much less of a gamble. I am much more comfortable with larger position sizes when I see a rising tide lifting all boats, using the standard cliche.
