Been watching this stock. For a steady performing company this stock sure goes up and down. In todays market a steady performing stock may not seem exciting but it sure cuts down on the nasty surprises. Why go down when nothing has changed? Just curious. Happy Investing, Rolf

Hi Thread-

FWIW, NAIC's Better Investing features Amgen as its "Stock to Study" this month. They seem pretty bullish about Amgen's prospects in the long term. I think they gloss over the pipeline issue, though. They do point out that Amgen has a very aggressive growth strategy in terms of research facilities, upping their capacity to work on larger numbers of candidates at one time. I hope they're right, I've been sitting on this stock for a year now at somewhat of a loss and I'm hoping it will break out of the doldrums with some good news. I'm in for the long haul but a year of boring price movements can wear on a person.
