You clearly don't understand how the role of Speaker works.If you cannot deliver on compromises that have been agreed upon, you aren't doing your job. Really, this is something you should have learned in Jr. High at the latest. But, you seem to be profoundly ignorant about very basic things. Like your idea of the real problem. It is so disconnected from reality I don't know what to say...

The Speaker is the negotiator for the House he speaks FOR. If he doesn't have the support of that House, he's just one of the rabble, and not worth negotiating with. Which is obviously true of Boner. Pelosi ALWAYS delivered the votes she promised to Obama.

It isn't some kind of monolith; unlike the Left, there exists a diversity of opinion within the R party. This statement is absolutely ludicrous. Diversity has always been the hallmark of the Dems; walking in locked step the trademark of the Rs. This all fell apart for the Rs when some of the party became radicalized starting in 2006 and going forward. And those radicalized Rs are crazy and completely out of touch with GOP leadership and most of the American population. I blame Boehner for not getting control of this craziness when it first appeared. Instead he tried to use it to his advantage. Unfortunately for him, its come back to bite him in his ass. BTW diversity continues to be the hallmark of the Dems and Pelosi has to work her ass off keeping the Dems in line. And FYI that's why they have House whips.
