The Republican majority in the House was returned to cut spending. The problem with Washington is spending. More and higher taxes does nothing to address the problem. Boehner removed Tea Party Representatives from key appropriations posts to enable him to keep from having the problem addressed.

When Obama comes to the table with a trillion per year in spending cuts it will be time to address higher taxes. If we could simply return to the fiscal irresponsibility of the Bush years we would be so much closer to solving the problem than Obama insisting on including the ONE TIME Stimulus spending in has annual "budgets" since.
