I think you are waaaaay off here John. Are there fiscal nut cases out there? of course. But for someone to get elected, they have to have the support of the people in their district. Look, I'm in complete disagreement with what the Tea Party is doing as I think the result could be insanely dangerous - but for years some people who hate these levels of debt have tried other means to bring it under control and have failed. So while I disagree with their tactics - I do understand them. The debt issue should have been dealt with a long time ago and then these people wouldn't have to resort to these tactics. They couldn't as they wouldn't have the support within their districts. Today they do have that support.
