Anyone really confident about those stocks ought to go with NUGT--as you no doubt know, it's been 3X GDX for a long time. As some of us had to learn, though, that's 3X down as well as up. But not many ETFs can jump 10% in a day. So for a reckless short term trader, it's a possibility. I do own some--maybe 10% of my total gold positions (or less).
