go watch the youtube video of what happened during Katrina. Now, if you can think of something besides what occurs everyday in your wonderful life ... maybe you can imagine a segment of the government -- armed much better than the average citizen -- and only acting "under orders" to "restore order."

Sure teachers, garbage collectors and keepers of the peace produce something that I need and consume. Not what I am talking about. You'd have to be a doofus to not see that there is a large beauracracy that does nothing besides transfer goods from those that work to those that don't and the numbers that are dependent on the arrangement have grown to the point that are a potent force -- if such "support" were to fail.

Do you own no guns? Do you envision no scenarios where unrest in populated areas couldn't become significant??

I don't WANT to shoot anyone and neither do the large majority of people who own guns. Do you have any idea as to how many people own guns in the U.S.?

And yet, this is NOT the wild west -- per capita -- these incidents are not large in number, as tragic as they are.

Why don't we have 5-10 of them every day??

Maybe it is not about the guns -- there are plenty of mentally ill here, too.
